Atlanta, GA (July 3, 2018) – Hancock Askew & Co., LLP, a full-service audit, tax, accounting and consulting firm is proud to announce the appointment of Senior Accountant, Kevin Black, as the Audit Chairman for the IIA Atlanta chapter.
The IIA Atlanta chapter has over 1,900 members from a wide range of industries. The organization supports professionals within the internal audit field to expand their knowledge, network with professionals in the same field, and learn about various industries. As the Audit Chairman, Kevin will be responsible for providing independent oversight over the IIA Atlanta Chapter’s financial statements.
About Kevin Black, CPA
Kevin is a Senior Auditor at Hancock Askew and has over 7 years of experience in SOX, internal controls, and financial statement audits. Kevin is a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Prior to joining Hancock Askew, Kevin began his career as an Internal Auditor working for a leading worldwide provider of payment technology services in Atlanta, GA. He also gained experience leading the SOX compliance function for a Fortune 500 ATM/POS manufacturing and software corporation in Atlanta, GA.
In his role at Hancock Askew, he primarily leads internal audit engagements for public companies as well as private and public company financial statement audits.
